Access To Music York is the premier further education music college in the Yorkshire & Humber region boasting an unrivalled, industry-based learning environment with rehearsal and recording studios, Apple Mac technology suites and bespoke teaching spaces.

Based a short walk from the city centre, Access To Music York has been running music courses from the Jam Factory Studios for ten years and has a close relationship with the region’s music scene and creative industries including Moors Music, York Peace and Youth Festivals and The Duchess.

Experienced, professional musicians and tutors, mentors and visiting speakers, deliver education and training. Access To Music York takes pride in its unrivalled enrichment programme, frequently staging city-wide music events and workshops. We run educational trips to trade fairs like Music Live and BPM as well as music business seminars at the prestigious In The City event in Manchester.

Previous students have gone on to further study in HE while others include signed DJs Misperception and Marc Johnson, touring musicians Gaby Milner (Hi-Jack Oscar) and Dave Bettes (The Chemists), successful club night Freakin’ creator and promoter Rich Clarke, Radio DJ Laura Finnerty and many, many more!

Access To Music York is hosted by The Jam Factory Studios who also provide a Saturday Academy for 11-16 year olds. For further details or information regarding this or private hire of rehearsal and recording facilities during evenings and weekends please contact the studios directly.
