Norwich
The Norwich centre is situated on King Street, known locally as the creative quarter, in the centre of the city. Our neighbours include The Waterfront, Community Music East, The King Street Festival Office and The Museum of Contemporary Art.
The centre was recently enlarged, being opened by Charles Clarke MP in November 2006. It boasts five band rehearsal rooms, a recording studio, a post-production suite, two technology suites, two seminar rooms and two DJ rooms. The student body currently numbers almost 200 making it the premier music training venue in East Anglia. The college also acts as a rehearsal and recording facility for hire at evenings and weekends.
There are lots of opportunities open to students through the links with the community. These include an Access To Music Norwich Radio Show on a local FM license, stages at The King Street Festival and opportunities to perform at The CFG festival in the city. The centre also hosted its own masterclass week featuring artists from bands such as The Prodigy.
