Taster Days

Taster days are a free opportunity to gain hands-on experience of what Access to Music can offer you. They are for current applicants, future applicants and those who have already been offered a place.

We offer two types of Taster Day:

 

APPRENTICESHIP TASTER DAY
This is a taster day for our Music Apprenticeships which starts in July. Apprenticeships are for anyone aged 16-24+ who is looking to start a music business, or operate as a freelancer in the music industry.

Apprenticeship Taster Days are running in early July in the following Access to Music centres and are ideal for Year 11s who have just left school after GCSEs:

To book please contact your chosen centre. Please bring a pack lunch and a drink with you. Please note that places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

 

MUSIC MAKERS TASTER DAY
This is a holiday-period free music-making activity focussed on Year 11s who have left school and for others aged 16-24 who want to come along. You can choose from the following options:

  • Performing Musician: taster day for the Level 2/3 Performing Musician course;
  • Digital Musician: taster day for the Level 2/3 Digital Musician course.

Music Maker Taster Days are taking place in the following Access to Music centres and are ideal for Year 11s who have just left school after GCSEs:

  • Birmingham Wednesday 6 July 10.00-15.00
  • Brighton Friday 22 July 10.00-15.00
  • Bristol Wednesday 13 July 10.00-15.00
  • Lincoln Tuesday 26 July 10.00-15.00
  • London Wednesday 6 July 10.00-15.00

To book please contact your chosen centre and specify which option you want to take. Please bring a pack lunch and a drink with you. Please note that places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

 

Open Days

Access to Music centres are opening their doors to the general public for a National Open Day on the evening of Wednesday 6 July.

Potential students, friends and parents will have the chance to find out more about the music opportunities on offer in their region and get to have a tour of the premises and facilities.
